It's a year of changes for the RTA with the organisation leaving its Herschel Street premises in March to move to level 23, 179 Turbot Street, Brisbane.
General Manager, Fergus Smith said as Queensland's population has grown, so too has demand for RTA services.
"As staff numbers expanded, to respond to this increased demand we realised the Herschel Street building would no longer be able to accommodate the RTA," Mr Smith said.
"In order to continue providing the high level of client service the RTA is renowned for, it was decided to look for a new location that could house current RTA staff as well as meet future demand,"
"Four levels of 179 Turbot Street have been leased with enough space to accommodate the future growth of the RTA for the next decade," Mr Smith said.
The RTA's excellent level of client service will continue and our clients can contact us on the same 1300 366 311 phone number. Our postal address is also unchanged.
The RTA will continue to provide all of the services it currently provides, including the front counter service our clients have enjoyed for 20 years.
The new location is conveniently located between the Mincom and Suncorp buildings on Turbot Street which is only a two minute walk from Brisbane Central railway station and a five minute walk from Queen Street Mall.
